The Queensbury Labour Action Team, comprising local residents Ramesh Patel, Sandra Kabir and Kana Naheerathan
have called on the council to take action against the owners of empty properties. They have highlighted the front garden of No. 90 Winchester Avenue, which happens to be owned by Queensbury Ward Democratic Conservative councillor Robert Dunwell – who lives in Wembley Park.
Labour’s Environment Spokesperson, Cllr James Powney, said:
“Surely empty properties with overgrown gardens are an environmental health hazard and the Council should use its powers to force owners to behave responsibly”.
