Join Councillor Hirani and the Dudden Hill Safer Neighbourhood Team for a Ward walkabout from 4PM today. We will meet at outside the Subway fast-food shop at Neasden Shopping Centre and from there, walk on towards the Church End area.

Vote for my blog

Last year I was voted in Total Politics’ poll as one of the top 100 Labour bloggers in the country. I found it a bit of a shock as I’d only been a Councillor for 3 months at this stage (although the blog had been started up around 10 months before my election) and I [...]

Youth Forum tonight at the College of North West London

The Dudden Hill Safer Neighbourhood Team will be holding a youth forum tonight 16th August 2011 at 1700 in the College of North West London.  The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the recent disorder in London and to listen to the thoughts of young people.  If you know anyone aged 14 – 22 [...]

It’s been a sad few days for London

We hoped that Brent would not fall victim to some of the scenes that we have seen on the news in other parts of London. But it is unfortunate that a few minority have been inspired by scenes in other parts of London, rather than appalled by what is happening and are carrying out criminal [...]

A worrying trend in Brent

For this, we need investment and [...]

A total of 475 questionnaires were returned, from which 68% supported the proposals, 25% did not support them and 7% indicated no opinion. The implementation of the scheme will [...]

Residents on Selbie Avenue and Severn Way denied opportunity to recycle

I am dismayed at the lack of kerbside recycling facilities available to residents who live on Selbie Avenue and Severn Way in Dudden Hill Ward. I have written to the Director of Environment and Neighbourhood Services at Brent Council to see what precise facilities will be available for residents once the new waste strategy is [...]

Suspect vehicles on Sonia Gardens

A local resident has raised the issue of vans that seem to be coming on to this road and acting suspiciously. They have been alleged to be keeping an eye on resident’s properties and there have been issues of items being taken from people’s cars. If you see any suspicious activity, do not hesitate to [...]
