The timing of Bertha Joseph’s resignation is unacceptable

Bertha has finally resigned from her role London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (LFEPA), but the morality of the timing of the decision is deeply concerning.

She resigned moments after helping to pass through fire budget cuts. Her position was clearly untenable and she should have resigned or been sacked straight away. Instead, it seems as though she has been kept on to help pass the fire budget through.
