A New International Market for Willesden

World Flavours Market is a new international market that will be starting outside Willesden Green Library on Saturday 2 July 2011 from 10am to 5pm.

World Flavours Market will be offering many beautiful open-air stalls selling fresh fruit and vegetables, arts and craft from across the world – Thailand, Africa, Brazil etc.  Also on offer are: mouth watering hot food, drinks, beautifully crafted trendy, high-end fashion and accessories sold at affordable prices.  The experience is a heady-mix of smell, feel and sound of true international flavour.

The colourful market brings to the fore the rich cultural mix of Willesden Brent and London.

It will add to, and strengthen what Willesden already has on offer as a town centre and at the same token animate the under-utilised public space outside the Library.

The market is part of this summer’s The Greenhouse@Willesden temporary animation programme for the Centre.

The market will trade Saturday fortnightly and dates for the following 3 months are:

2, 16, 30 July; 13, 27 August; 10, 24 September.

Osita Udenson, founder and organiser of World Flavours Market said:

“World Flavours Market is a direct response to residents demand for a market in Willesden.  We have sought to be different in our offer as our strategy is to encourage enterprise and help provide incubator spaces to business start ups. We aim to add to the regeneration efforts in Willesden town centre.

“The market really is a delightful market selling some gorgeous products. It brings with it vitality, vibrancy and a cosmopolitan flair to the town centre. I’m sure World Flavours Market will be hugely popular.”
