Earlier this week, I met with a parents with children at Gladstone Park Primary School who are concerned with the approach that the Department for Education are taking in forcing it to become an academy.
Ward working funds were utilised to get professional football coaches to deliver sessions at Gladstone Park Primary School.
We’ve always invested ward working money for the two schools located in Dudden Hill Ward.
For Northview Primary School, Dudden Hill Labour Councillors funded half-term activities which involved educational and sporting outings for parents and children.
Dudden Hill Ward has two schools. Northview Primary School and Gladstone Park Primary School. Through Ward Working, I have funded for the Brent FA to work with pupils in these two schools to develop footballing skills.
Every May, Council groups hold an Annual General Meeting and therefore I will be attending our AGM tomorrow. Therefore my co-Councillor Aslam Choudry and myself will not be at our open Councillor Advice Surgery tomorrow which is usually held at the Gladstone Park Primary School. If you live in Dudden Hill and wish to contact me about any local issue, see how you can contact me here LINK
Please note that I will not be holding my Councillor advice surgery at the Gladstone Park Primary School on Saturday 1st January 2011. (Feels weird writing 2011 – actually did write 2010 and had to amend it!). My next Advice Surgery will take place on Saturday 8th January 2011 at the Neasden Library Plus from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
Hope you have a great New Years’ Eve! 🙂
